lol not much! ^^; I'm in college, so I study more than I draw. being one of the typically-broke college students, I rarely have the money or the time to go to the bookstore to pick up the new issues or order a subscription. I adore the ones I have though! XD

nah, not strange. the Arabians you see in publications like Arabian Horse World aren't the least bit fat (broodmares are the exception), but if you get someone's pet horse, then they don't look as lean. *Naborr wasn't a pet, he was a show horse and a breeding stallion. It's not good practice to market a fat stallion.

Thanks for the comments on "Arabian study: Naborr v2" and "Theme 19: Grey." I really appreciate the feedback.

About the *Naborr picture: the photo I referenced from ( [link] ) shows *Naborr with a flat stomach -- that particular copy of the picture isn't very good compared to the one in the book I have with a chapter about *Naborr. The majority pictures out there of show Arabians depict lean, desert-type horses. Also, I'm not a fan of fat horses, which explains why many of my pictures show leaner animals. I do try to have some curve to the underside of the belly, but only enough to suggest some shape.
